I arrived to InfomatiX Ltd as a beginner. With only two months of work experience at the company I was asked to make a telephone conference and present one of our products for a Romanian IT company. I hadn’t been working for long enough in this company to be able to explain confidently anything about our products but the dedicated and professional team of the division instructed me about the potential and functioning of the QuiX (questionnaire-manager) and the Logistix Retail (warehouse management).
The process of the presentation was very simple. Via a VoIP application I contacted the representative of the Romanian party and shared my Desktop to enable them to view my presentation. The mobile client device with the MobiAccess applications was also connected to my computer. With the Pocket Controller-Pro utility I was able to show the display of the device on the PC’s screen.
With these tools I had presented the Logistix Retail application and the MobiAccess framework. The Logistix Retail application was developed to perform warehouse tasks. We had presented all the available functions of the application and compared them to the limitations of other known applications. We explained the platform independent barcode reading functionality. Then we had presented a stock control functionality, namely the tracking of stock changes via mobile clients. Finally we showed a simple database synchronization process to the partners.
The potential of the MobiAccess framework to simply satisfy a variety of development needs was proved by the presentation of a questionnaire-managemer application (QuiX). On the MobiAccess central platform we updated the contents and format of the questionnaires to be shown on the mobile clients. Then we were able to view the results directly on the smartphone used for the presentation.
The event was planned to have a five-minute presentation but thanks to the great interest of the Romanian side we had a pleasant one-hour conversation. Later on other product presentations the partners showed a similar enthusiasm.
